The Freelancers Union

Freelancers Union is a national membership organization of independent workers, including temporary, part-time, freelance, and self-employed workers. We just topped 100,000 members.

Freelancers Union provides many of the benefits, like health and disability insurance, that you don't get from your employer.

We're a new kind of union. We don't charge dues, since our social purpose businesses keep the doors open. Instead of collective bargaining, but we use the power of the group to build market power and political power. Together, we're creating a new social safety net that actually works for our members.

We exist because we believe that independent workers can help each other. Find other freelancers on our website: www.freelancersunion.org

Membership Perks:
• Insurance: health, dental, life, and disability (eligibility rules apply)
• Freelancers U seminars: education in taxes, marketing, websites, and more
• Professional networking events in NYC and Meetups nationwide
• Discounts on goods and services from dozens of companies, including Staples, Zipcar, Duane Reade pharmacies, and more
