wat i heard is tat vtu has changed a bit....

if u can remember odd semester results are already out nd within a month of completion of exams...tats wat our education minister and vice chancellor had told in a function !!!

has vtu changed???

well 7th sem results appeared to be a fair deal for me who had been waiting for a FCD from 2nd semester....

or is it just tat they give marks in final year???

Hebbal To Yelahanka My Sweet BMTC Travelling experiences!-1

College Gets Over... walked 2 miles to reach Hebbal Bus stand.
My Home is Just 10 kms away from Hebbal..
It takes only 20-30 minutes to reach my place..I was tired waiting for the BMTC bus in this bloody hot afternoon...
The Sun was looking at me so dangerously... and some drops of salty water dropping...so sweaty!!
I had applied lots and lots of hair oil that day...
Oil started Boiling!
I was able to see a BMTC bus finally!
Got through the bus...
The Entry Point of Bus as usually crowded...
i some how managed to get into the bus...
started traversing into...
And occupied the extreme end of the bus..
It was comfortable for me to stand there......

The Bus Started Moving..With a BURR BURR sound... Just Climbing on the beautiful Hebbal Flyover!
As the Bus moved on, My eyes went on the sides of the road...
Since Its a Flyover, The Bus was moving away from the ground..
Now i could see trees with my height...
A person wearing green shirt who was sitting at the last row started whispering.. "Sir, Please Sit down"
hehe
Well that "Sir" is not me!
I came to know that the person whom he addressed is not me, it was the person who was next to me.. He was Wearing Red Shirt.. I din see his face properly...
Now the Red Shirt Man Says to Green Shirt
"It's Okay, Please u sit"
and smilingly asks him "How are You"!

The Green Shirt Replies I'm good...

By This time i guessed...
The Green Shirt is a student of Red Shirt..It's a easy guess of course!
Well Let's not call them as Green Shirt or Red Shirt..
Green Shirt is a Student, Red Shirt is a Teacher..

The Bus crosses Halfway of Hebbal FlyOver ..My eyes became so happy to see Blue water!
Blue water?? Yeah!, It looks awesome man...When You Just see down From the Flyover You could see a beautiful lake called as "Hebbal Lake"..
Well Obviously the sun must be dangerous their too...
The lake looked like it is drying up... and the amount of Green WAter plants was more.

I saw a Huge Huge Smoke Cloud the extreme end of the Lake..
I tell u, it was so bulky cloud...
Now The Red Shirt(Teacher) says...
"wow!, what happened??, It's looking like a bomb!"
everyone started sighting the smoky clouded area...

Not a big deal!, the bus was moving and moving...
Flyover was over..
Back to ground!

A fire engine passed on the opposite side of the road...
Well it questioned everyone, why it's moving opposite way!!

I think as in Autonomous Institutions VTU should also give make up exams for us after every odd sems and supplementary exams after every even sems. 
According to Autonomous institution rules, if one guy fails in 2 subjects in 1st sem and 2 more in 2 sem, He wil

l be having supplementary semester for those 4 subjects, everything will be there like classes, lab, internals etc etc. And then exam will conducted at the end of 2nd month where all other guys will be enjoying holidays (who have cleared everything).
if, even he/she couldn't clear those 4 subjects in supplementary sem, he will out of Engineering as I saw here in MCE.

There is absolutely no point in scrapping the Year Back Concept.
The Year Back Concept acts as a FILTER.
The University Is required to impose some rules. And they are doing.They are required to follow it strictly.
Filtering is absolutely essential.

Think of a stair case, if u hurt ur leg climbing the first step. u gonna stay in the same step for a while.....and then look for climbing the 2nd step...imagine if a person climbs all the 4 steps with a bad hurt leg... More probability that he falls from top, More Pain!

In short,University is looking for quality and not quantity!

good point........the year back system imposes a certain degree of fear in students.....he will try hard to clear the backlogs........
but, what if the correction is bad and the student with a critical paper fails to clear it n loses the year???...i know a senior in my coll who got a year back becos of 1 subject with 33 marks!!....who is to blame??

year back is definitely not the solution to get quality students.. there r scenario's when a student falls sick or something, and somehow he can't clear..then? does he deserve a yearback?

We r in desperate need for a grading/percentile system.... percentile with reference to vtu topper in that particular subject/stream... By percentile system, u still have categories of students..but its not the same as failing 

a student right?

and im soo soo damn sure, VTU doesnt produce quality students..just becos a student cleared 4 years with 90% aggre doesnt mean he's the best one for the industry.. and as far as ive seen its most certainly not the case(99% of the cases) :)

ive happened to flunk once, somehow, but still im doing well in the corporate world..its not like people who clear 4 years with a vtu rank r "kings of the world"..and at this point of time, most of the people i know, people with much much higher aggre's than i have r sitting at home :)
